Pressure Point Therapy

Like Oriental Massage, Acupressure and reflexology, borrow from traditional Chinese and East Indian Medicine, in that their aim is to release blockages in the flow of energies throughout the body. While most of these therapies use oriental meridian points (dividing the body into 14 zones) Pressure Point Therapy more specifically follows the path of specific nerves and uses neurological releases neurotransmitters along those nerve lines which ultimately effect them and other areas of the body. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same trigger points, but acupressure uses gentle, firm finger pressure instead of the needles used in acupuncture. Relaxing the body and relieving stress in this manner helps strengthen resistance to disease and promotes wellness.
